A special letter from a Sole' fan

I received this email and thought it was cute! Its nice to see that there are still Solé fans out there. Thanks Nicholas :)

Hey there, just wanted to say tight site! and thanks for allowing the fans the opportunity to get in contact with Miss Solé. Letter;

Hey Solé,

Wassup girl?! Okay - well first of all I just want you to know that you have my highest respect && admiration. It's unfortunate that you aren't still in the rappin' game; but nevertheless, that does not relinquish you in my point of view. I remember being about eleven years old when I first heard '4,5,6' - best believe my mama grilled me when she realized what I was listening too [haha]. In any case, now 21 [in just nine more days], a DJ friend of mine gave me your 1999 album as a gift - && girl!!!!

Uhhhh! I just had to look you up, and found Strictly Solé && decided to write you a fan letter. I want to thank you for giving me hope, courage & just lifting my spirts with "4 The Love Of You" && entertaining me with the rest of your lyrics and tight beats! I hope you are blessed with much happiness in life, and hope that you come out with some new material one day!

Much Love && Respect,
xx Nicholas Narciso.

GINUWINE SHARES HIS 'THOUGHTS': Singer preps new disc

"I try to be exactly who I am and that's a gentlemen," Ginuwine said. "I don't want to have people in general thinking of me as anything but a gentleman. I'm not going to disrespect women; I'm not going to do something that will disrespect my wife. I'm always trying to handle things as a gentleman and I'm going to continue to do that."

The fact that he makes women swoon didn't hurt either. Ginuwine's debut album, titled "The Bachelor," released his first hit single, "Pony," which saturated the airwaves in 1996 as he and producer Timbaland became a hit duo.

Now, "the bachelor" is a married to ex rapper Sole, with children. And with five albums and a few hits and collabos later, the showman is prepping a new disc called "A Man's Thoughts."

"I wanted something that would intrigue people," he said of the new album's title. "I did about 40 songs and once I started picking the songs I wanted to be on the CD, it kind of all tied into a man's thoughts - how a man thinks and how a man does things in certain situations."

However intriguing the CD title or the music of the new disc, the latest buzz on Ginuwine has not been about his forthcoming album. In early March, reports surfaced that Ginuwine and actress LisaRaye - who stars in his "Last Chance" video from the forthcoming disc - were snuggled up in a restaurant in Beverly Hills. The story was soon revealed as bogus and perhaps even a publicity stunt set up by "other people."

"The media really takes things and runs with it," he said of the wild reports of kissing and hanging at a hotel with his longtime friend. "I just didn't know that it was like that now. I've been out the game for a while, but I'm no stranger lies or the paparazzi, but for them to just say things just like that, without actually knowing what's going on, was really amazing to me."

Ginuwine confessed to EUR's Lee Bailey that he thinks LisaRaye is a beautiful girl, but explained that the two were never an item.

"I admire her and I admire her work, but we were never together. We were doing a video and that's really it. I don't even know where it came from."

He said that in addition to never wanting to lose the love and respect of his children and his wife, former rapper Sole, Ginuwine said that being a player - now that he has a family - would threaten the respect level of his fans.

"I try to be exactly who I am and that's a gentlemen," he said. "I don't want to have people in general thinking of me as anything but a gentleman. I'm not going to disrespect women; I'm not going to do something that will disrespect my wife. I'm always trying to handle things as a gentleman and I'm going to continue to do that."

What he's also continuing to do is fundamental R&B music, though he's working with the changes of the music industry.

"It was '96 when I came out, so it's been 13 years. I'm still learning. Things are changing dramatically. It's definitely different," he said. "The computer age, has really put a dent in 'music' careers."

Ginuwine complained of how the work of music artists is often accessible due to the fact that music is done through computer technology, although that same technology gives artists another medium to distribute and create their work.

"Kids can get your album before it hits the stores. It's affecting us in a bad way. So you have to try to find your way around and think of different things," he said as he listed car or money giveaways as incentives. "We're thinking of things that will make people go in the store and buy the record. If they can download it, why would they? We're trying to package things and give the people more than just a CD."

While there are no marketing details to the release of the new disc, Ginuwine guarantees R&B, straight, no chaser. Along with the lead track "Last Chance," there are ballads and slow jams that will not disappoint fans.

"My strength has been slow ballads, so I wanted to come back and secure my base and let people know that I've not forgotten the true essence of R&B."

Look for "A Man's Thoughts" to hit shelvesthe first week of June, 2009. And for more on Ginuwine, visit his MySpace page.

Sole on "Todays Voices" Screen Caps!

Sole’ helping to giveaway 10,000 bookbags to area school children

On this week’s show multi-platinum R & B star Ginuwine and his wife Sole’ talk about how they’re helping to giveaway 10,000 bookbags to area school children and former boxer, Keeley Thompson talks about how he’s using the sport to change the lives of young men in the DC area.

Ginwuine "My Wife dont have nothing to worry about"

R&B singer Ginuwine visited Sister 2 Sister magazine Publisher Jamie Foster Brown's home in Maryland for an interview. Click the image above to see the video.

SOLE RESPONDS TO GINUWINE/LISARAYE RUMORS: 'I AM NOT PACKING UP NO 4 KIDS!'

Ginuwine did an interview with Sister 2 Sister claiming the story wasn't true and that folks were just trying to start something. But he also revealed the fact that Sole was not happy at all with the news and that the couple had it out something proper-like because he didn't tell her that LisaRaye was going to be in his video.

Rumors began to circulate claiming Sole packed up their kids and left him over this drama. This isn't true. And to clear the air, Sole decided to
respond to the rumors:

"I was like, that's funny. First of all, I'm not packing up no four kids and disrupting their lives in the middle of the school year, I don't care what he did. That's just foolish.

But they were reporting this like they had seen me out here packing up my bags. I believed it wasn't true from the beginning. My being upset about it was just the fact that it caught me so off guard. I don't know if he was thinking, 'It's not true so I'm not even going to say nothing, because she probably won't even hear it.' Because I'm so removed from the industry that it would just blow over and not be a big deal.

But when it became this big deal and they were on the radio and people were calling us saying, 'I heard this, and I heard that.' So then I was kinda upset. And I was just really upset at the lack of communication between he and I and because he's been home for so long and. It really did catch me off guard. I wasn't really prepared for all the phone calls and the stuff on the Internet. I was like, 'Oh, my God! This is crazy!'

Both of us just really couldn't believe how it became such a big deal. But yeah, it was a debate and we got into it about how to handle things and how to move forward, you know, with him going back into the industry. So yeah, I believed the story wasn't true in the beginning. Not because I'm this naive wife living in a bubble and I feel like my husband is not capable of cheating. Or he's not capable of making a mistake or doing something wrong as is any husband us capable of putting themselves in the wrong position.

So not because I'm a fool did I not believe it; but I do know him well enough after this amount of time to know if there's some truth to something or if it's not. And the whole story and everything people were saying came across as such a publicity stunt.

So my being upset about it was just the fact that it caught me so off guard and that the media and these 'quote, unquote' sources can be so reckless in what they put out there. They don't think that there may be children that may see that or read that and may be hurt by that. Or they think that because we are both in the process of changing our lives so much and I'm such a different person now that they may not think that that may not affect or hurt us or people that look up to us. They just throw stuff out there. Blatant lies and claim it to be true."

"The whole industry is the devil's playground."

For the record, the couple is fine. They've given their kids a heads up to ignore rumors they may hear about Dad. They also developed a game plan for handling issues like this in the future.

Solé didn't leave Ginuwine over rumors!

S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown talked to former rap artist Solé recently.

Rumors had it that Solé, who goes by Tonya now, had packed her bags and kids and left her husband of five years, Ginuwine. This was her alleged reaction to reports that Ginuwine had been seen kissing LisaRaye at a restaurant, then seen with her at a hotel the next day.

Solé told Jamie that reports about her reaction to the rumor were way off base. “I was like, that’s funny. First of all, I’m not packing up no four kids and disrupting their lives in the middle of the school year, I don’t care what he did. That’s just foolish,” Solé laughed. “But they were reporting this like they had seen me out here packing up my bags.”

Solé heard about the LisaRaye rumor through a friend of the family. “I believed it wasn’t true from the beginning,” Sole said. “My being upset about it was just the fact that it caught me so off guard.” She said she never believed the rumor because it smelled like a publicity stunt. But that didn’t keep Ginuwine out of the dog house.

Why didn’t he tell Sole that LisaRaye was starring in his new video in the first place? Then when he heard about the rumor why didn’t Ginuwine warn her that it might hit the news?

Listen to Solé tell Jamie how she really responded to the rumor.

“I don’t know if he was thinking, ‘It’s not true so I’m not even going to say nothing, because she probably won’t even hear it.’ Because I’m so removed from the industry that it would just blow over and not be a big deal.” Sole admits that she doesn’t listen to the radio or surf the Web for anything that isn’t work related. So she probably wouldn’t have heard about the Internet rumor.
But the news hit the radio and Solé started getting calls from friends who heard that she was leaving her husband. Even their kids were confronted with the rumors at school. For the record, the couple is fine. They’ve given their kids a heads up to ignore rumors they may hear about Dad. They also developed a game plan for handling issues like this in the future.
